Pupilos do Exército came to visit Lola
On the 20th, we welcomed a visit from two classes from the Instituto dos Pupilos do Exército. Throughout the afternoon, the students attended a brief presentation of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, delivered by Professor Sónia Pinto, and visited the facilities of the Institute for Systems and Robotics (ISR).
During the presentation, the professor spoke about the department’s degree programmes, research areas, and some of the extracurricular activities available.
At the ISR, the students learned about several concepts related to the field of robotics and were introduced to SocRob@Home. They also had the opportunity to see Lola, the ISR’s most recent robot.
The visit concluded with a group photograph at the entrance of the north tower.
